János Gálvölgyi
János Gálvölgyi (born 26 May 1948) is a Hungarian actor and comedian. First appearing in 1968's talent show, he gained national fame for making numerous comedy sketches in the Hungarian National Television, becoming one of the best known comedy actors in the country. Biography János Gálvölgyi was born on 26 May 1948 in Budapest as the son of János Gálvölgyi and Mária Gumbinger. After finishing the Madách Imre High School, he tried but failed to enroll to the University of Theatre. He learned photography, and worked in the Révai Press company between 1967-68. Always dreaming of theatric success, he applied to the , a televised national talent show with a comedic sketch, gaining great success. To the advice of the jury, he now successfully applies to the University of Theatre. Kossuth Prize
The Kossuth Prize ( hu, Kossuth-díj) is a state-sponsored award in Hungary, named after the Hungarian politician and revolutionist Lajos Kossuth. The Prize was established in 1948 (on occasion of the centenary of the March 15th revolution, the day on which it is still handed over every year) by the Hungarian National Assembly, to acknowledge outstanding personal and group achievements in the fields of science, culture and the arts, as well as in the building of socialism in general. The Hungarian Order of Merit ( hu, Magyar Érdemrend) is the fourth highest State Order of Hungary. Founded in 1991, the order is a revival of an original order founded in 1946 and abolished in 1949. Its origins, however, can be traced to the Order of Merit of the Kingdom of Hungary which existed from 1922 until 1946. The Second Hungarian Republic ( hu, Második Magyar Köztársaság) was a parliamentary republic briefly established after the disestablishment of the Kingdom of Hungary on 1 February 1946 and was itself dissolved on 20 August 1949.
