Jye Amiss
Jye Amiss ( ; born 31 July 2003) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early Career Amiss grew up in Busselton, Western Australia. He played football for the Busselton Football Club in the South West Football League, and represented Western Australia at under-19s level. Career 2022: Debut season Amiss was drafted with Fremantle's first selection, the 8th overall, in the 2021 national draft. He made his debut in round 8 of the 2022 AFL season against kicking two goals on debut, including a goal with his first kick. Amiss suffered a kidney injury while playing for Peel Thunder in the WAFL, and had to undergo surgery which saw him sidelined for 12 weeks. The Peel Thunder Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). The team is based in Mandurah, Western Australia, with their home ground being Rushton Park. The club joined the WAFL as an expansion team in 1997. 2024 AFL Season
The 2024 AFL season was the 128th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest-level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia. Josh Treacy
Josh Treacy (born 4 August 2002) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Treacy is from Cohuna, a dairy farming area in the north of Victoria. He participated in the Auskick program at Cohuna and played for the Cohuna Kangas in the Central Murray Football and Netball League and the Bendigo Pioneers in the NAB League Boys Under 18s competition. In 2020, Treacy was named to co-captain the Pioneers, but the season was cancelled due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Traeger Park (currently known under naming rights as TIO Traeger Park) is a sports complex located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, in the suburb of The Gap, Northern Territory, The Gap. Named after Alfred Hermann Traeger, the park was officially opened by Anne Catherine Smallwood (née Traeger), Alfred's younger daughter. In Australian rules football, a player can take a mark by catching the ball from a kick, which earns protection from tackles. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the mark subjectively judged the best in each season is named Mark of the Year. The award is almost always given to spectacular marks – those where one player jumps upon another's back to reach the ball. Although there are no formal rules prescribing what a good mark is, some important factors are how high the player leaps, how long he stays in the air, whether his catch is clean, whether he catches the ball with extended arms, and how dramatic his fall is. The Western Derby () is the name given to the Australian rules football matches between the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Dockers, who both participate in the Australian Football League (AFL) and AFL Women's (AFLW). The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. 2023 AFL Rising Star
The AFL Rising Star award is given annually to a standout young player in the Australian Football League (AFL). In 2023, the award was won by player Harry Sheezel. Eligibility Every round, a nomination is given to a standout young player who performed well during that particular round.
