Jwala (1971 Film)
''Jwala'' () is a 1971 Indian Hindi-language action film directed and produced by M. V. Raman and written by Chandliyan. It stars Sunil Dutt and Madhubala (in her final, posthumous film appearance), with Sohrab Modi and Pran in pivotal roles. The film's music was composed by Shankar–Jaikishan. ''Jwala'' was first conceived in mid-1956 but was not completed by late 1960s. Madhubala was mostly absent from the set due to her sickness and Raman had to make use of body doubles for finishing the filming. The film failed at the box office when released in July 1971two years after Madhubala's deathand received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics. Plot Maharaja Anup Singh is attacked by his arch enemy Raja of Rampur and in the battle that ensues; Anup Singh loses his kingdom and has to flee for his life. Rajinder Singh Bedi
Rajinder Singh Bedi (1 September 1915 – 1984) was an Indian Urdu writer of the progressive writers' movement and a playwright, who later worked in Hindi cinema as a film director, screenwriter and dialogue writer and he is grandfather Rajat Bedi an Manek Bedi. As a screenwriter and dialogue writer, he is best known for Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films '' Abhimaan'', '' Anupama'' and ''Satyakam''; and Bimal Roy's ''Madhumati''. As a director he is known for '' Dastak'' (1970), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rehana Sultan and ''Phagun'' (1973), starring Dharmendra, Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Bhaduri and Vijay Arora. He wrote his scripts in Urdu, like a number of other prominent screenwriters at the time. Gopi Krishna (dancer)
Gopi Krishna (22 August 1935 – 18 February 1994) was an Indian Kathak dancer, actor and choreographer. He also studied Bharatnatyam. In 1952, at the age of seventeen, Gopi Krishna became one of the youngest choreographers in Hindi film history when he was hired to choreograph dances. Life and career Gopi Krishna was born into a family of kathak dancers. His maternal grandfather Pandit Sukhdev Maharaj was a teacher of Kathak and his aunt Sitara Devi was a Kathak dancer who has performed around the world. When he was 11 years old, Gopi Krishna began training under his grandfather. He also learned from Shambhu Maharaj. Mahalakshmi Menon, best known by her stagename Shobha (23 September 1962 – 1 May 1980), was an Indian actress best known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil films. At the age of 17, she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1979 Tamil film ''Pasi''.
