Justine Dupont (born 26 July 1991) is a French professional surfer. Personal life Justine Dupont was born in Bordeaux, France. She began surfing at the age of 11 in Lacanau. She lives between Seignosse, France. and Nazare, Portugal. Multiple World Champion of the WSL XXL Awards, she has established herself as the best female big wave surfer in the world since 2019. Her performance in tow-in surfing allows her to rival with the best male surfers in the discipline. Stand Up Paddle World Champion and 4X Vice World Champion in 3 different disciplines, she is considered the most versatile female surfer in the world. Justine is elected Chair of the ISA Athletes' Commission for the 2020 Olympic Games. She will also be a commentator on French TV during the 2021 olympics. She launched her YouTube Channel in August 2019 where she frequently posts videos to share her daily life with her fans. Seignosse
Seignosse (; oc, Senhòssa) is a commune in the Landes department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Population Tourism and leisure Surfing Seignosse is prized for surfing. With Biarritz and Hossegor, Seignosse is one of the historic place of birth for surfing in France (head office of the "Fédération Française de Surf" from 1977 to 1984). Surfers from all over the world know today the surf spots of Hossegor/Seignosse/Capbreton. Seignosse has about thirty surf schools. They give lessons in Seignosse because the waves are steady and suitable for surf training. Every year Seignosse organises together with Hossegor a stage of the Surfing World Championship for Professionals and many other competitions all year. The International Surfing Association (ISA) is the world governing authority for surfing, SUP racing, SUP surfing, bodyboarding and all other wave riding activities. The ISA is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. The Eddie
"The Eddie" is a big wave surfing tournament held at Waimea Bay on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The tournament is named for native Hawaiian, champion big wave surfer, and life-saving Waimea Bay lifeguard, Eddie Aikau. Created in 1984 at nearby Sunset Beach, the invitational tournament moved to the notoriously big waved Waimea Bay, where Aikau's family maintains an ancestral tradition as caretakers of the Waimea Valley. It was formerly known as the Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau after its sponsor Quiksilver, but the company and the Aikau family could not agree to terms for a new contract after the previous one expired in 2016.
