Justine Dorog
Justine Dorog (born March 13, 1998) is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She currently plays for the Quezon City Gerflor Defenders volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League. Personal life Dorog was born and raised in Cebu Province and attended high school as an athlete at Hope Christian High School in Manila together with her cousin, Isa Molde. She studied Bachelor of Sports Science at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and played for the school's volleyball team. Career Dorog was a member of the U17 Philippines national women's volleyball team in 2014, that finished 7th among 13 teams in the 2014 Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship. It defeated Australia and India while losing to China in straight sets in the Group C stage. In the Qualifying Round, it lost to Thailand while winning against New Zealand in 4 sets. The Chery Tiggo Crossovers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the original Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. They became the first-ever volleyball champions in a fully-professional league when they won the 2021 PVL Open Conference title. UAAP Season 81
UAAP Season 81 is the 2018–19 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season is hosted by National University. Eight member universities of the UAAP competed in the league's fifteen sports to vie for the general championship. Opening ceremony The opening ceremony was held on September 8, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena with the tagline "It All Begins Here". The ceremony kicked off with an intermission number led by the NU Chorale, NU Underdawgz and the NU Pep Squad. NBA star Stephen Curry made a special appearance and led the oath of sportsmanship for the athletes. The Shakey's V-League 13th Season Collegiate Conference is the 26th conference of the Shakey's V-League and the second conference for its 13th season. The conference was started on July 30, 2016 at the Ynares Sports Arena with the first two games of the conference. Majority of the games will be held at the Philsports Arena, Pasig.
