Justine A. Chambers is a dancer, choreographer and artist currently living and working in Vancouver, British Columbia. Interested in social choreographies of the everyday, she engages dance in site-specific, experimental and collaborative creation. Chambers has performed in public spaces, contemporary art galleries, performance festivals and on stage. She has produced, choreographed and performed internationally at venues such as; the Push Off Festival, Artspeak's Sensing Salon, Studio 303 in Montreal, The Lexicon: Canada Dance Festival, Vancouver Art Gallery, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Art Museum at U of T and Belkin Art Gallery at UBC. COVID-19 Pandemic In Canada
The COVID-19 pandemic in Canada is part of the ongoing worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (). It is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). Most cases over the course of the pandemic have been in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta. Confirmed cases have been reported in all of Canada's provinces and territories. The virus was confirmed to have reached Canada on January 25, 2020, after an individual who had returned to Toronto from Wuhan, Hubei, China, tested positive. Lorna Brown
Lorna Brown (born 1958) is a Canadian artist, curator and writer. Her work focuses on public space, social phenomena such as boredom, and institutional structures and systems. Background Lorna Brown was born in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, Canada. She started exhibiting her work in 1984. Brown taught studio and critical studies which includes art, design and media history, humanities, and social science courses at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and Simon Fraser University's School for Contemporary Arts from 1989-1999. Margaret Dragu
Margaret Dragu (born 1953) is a Canadian dancer, writer, performance artist and feminist. Career Dragu was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1953. Growing up she was influenced by traditional Romanian folk dancing. As an adult she spent time in New York, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. She began her dance career in Calgary in 1969, studying under Yone Kvietys Young, who was an instructor of movement using elements of Dada. From Calgary, Dragu moved to New York in 1971, where she began working with Alwin Nikolais, Murray Louis, and the Laura Foreman dance company, as well as members of the Judson Church. Her work with movement evolved to include elements of "burlesque, tap dancing, flamenco, and theatre." In 1973 Dragu moved to Montreal where she began a lengthy career as a striptease artist. Jennifer Weih
Jennifer Weih is a Canadian artist and educator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She currently teaches at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Brendan Fernandes (born 1979) is a Canadian contemporary artist.
