Justin Hamilton (comedian)
Justin Hamilton (a.k.a. "Hammo") is an Australian comedian, writer and radio host. Early life Hamilton grew up in Adelaide, South Australia. Career He is a standup performer who started his comedy career in Adelaide in 1994 as part of a duo called The Bunta Boys with school mate Damien. They wrote and performed songs such as "Red Necked Boy" and "I Wanna Be Hip". The latter an inspired tribute to Rick Astley. Justin would regularly end up gyrating in an (often male) audience member's lap, or running across the stage without trousers. Both would attract much laughter. Justin appeared in the 1995 Adelaide Fringe parade as the second half of 'Buttman and Throbbin': a comedy crime fighter, wearing red fishnets and a yellow cape. John Henry Michael McManus (born 21 January 1974), better known by the stage name Rove McManus, is an Australian triple Gold Logie award-winning comedian, television and radio presenter, producer and media personality. He was the host of the eponymous variety show ''Rove'' and was also the host of the comedy talk show ''Rove LA''. The Equity Ensemble Awards (or Equity Awards) are an Australian awards system, that is an accolade presented by The Equity Foundation, the performers branch of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA). The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award, (formerly known as the Barry Award and the Stella Award) is an annual prize presented to the most outstanding comedy act at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The Brian McCarthy Memorial Moosehead Award is a grant issued to Australian comedians wishing to premiere new works as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It is named after Brian McCarthy, a young comedian and comedy producer killed in a car accident in 1987. ''Wil & Lehmo'' was an afternoon drive time radio program broadcast nationally on Triple M and was hosted by Wil Anderson and Anthony "Lehmo" Lehmann. It began broadcasting on 2 April 2007. Triple M is an Australian commercial radio network owned and operated by Southern Cross Austereo. The network consists of 40 radio stations broadcasting a mainstream rock music format and 5 digital radio stations. The network dates back to the launch of Triple M Sydney in 1980.
