Just Blaze
Justin Gregory Smith (born January 8, 1978), known professionally as Just Blaze, is an American record producer and DJ. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Smith attended Rutgers University for three years before dropping out to pursue a career in music production. He gained recognition as an in-house producer for Roc-A-Fella Records in the early 2000s, developing the " chipmunk soul" sampling style that was prominent in hip hop during that time. Smith produced Eminem's 2010 single " No Love" and appeared in its accompanying music video. He has composed soundtracks for video games, and was a character in ''NBA Street Vol. 2''. His stage name was inspired by the character Blaze Fielding from the ''Streets of Rage'' video game series. Smith founded the record label Fort Knocks Entertainment in 2004, through which he has signed artists including Saigon and Ms. Jade. Blaze Fielding
Blaze Fielding (ブレイズ・フィールディング), better known as just Blaze, is a player character in Sega's ''Streets of Rage'' (''Bare Knuckle'') series of beat 'em up games. Introduced in the original ''Streets of Rage'' in 1991, she is playable in all four games, starting out as an ex-police officer-turned-vigilante in the first game and becoming a private detective by the third game. Blaze is a master of judo who helps her companions, Adam Hunter and Axel Stone, defeat the crime syndicate boss Mr. X throughout all three games. Originally the least strong but fastest of the first game's roster, Blaze later became an all-round fighter of the series as well as a favorite of many. ''The Reason'' is the second studio album by rapper Beanie Sigel. It was released on Roc-A-Fella Records on June 26, 2001. The album contains 14 tracks, and special guests include Memphis Bleek, Jay-Z, Freeway, Omillio Sparks, Scarface, Daz, Kurupt, and Rell. It received positive reviews from critics divided over Sigel's lyrical abilities as a rapper. The Movement (Harlem World Album)
''The Movement'' is the only album by American hip hop group Harlem World. It was released on March 9, 1999 through So So Def Recordings/ Columbia Records. Recording sessions took place at The Hit Factory in New York City, at Krosswire Studio in Atlanta, and at Sweetfish in Argyle, New York. Production was handled by several record producers, including Dame Grease, Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, Jermaine Dupri, The Neptunes, Trackmasters, and then-unknown Kanye West and Just Blaze. It features guest appearances from Ma$e, Carl Thomas, Drag-On, Jermaine Dupri, Nas, Nauty, Rashad, the Boys Choir of Harlem, the Teamsters, and Kelly Price. The album was a success, making it to 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and was certified gold on April 12, 1999. Kelly Cherelle Price (born April 4, 1973) is an American R&B and gospel singer. She started her singing career in 1992. Mason Durell Betha (born August 27, 1975), better known by his mononym Mase (formerly Murda Mase and stylized as Ma$e), is an American rapper and minister. In the late 1990s, he recorded on the Bad Boy Records label alongside its founder Sean "Diddy" Combs to significant mainstream success. Harlem World (group)
Harlem World was an American hip hop group founded by Mase that was signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def. The group consisted of seven members: Mase's sister Baby Stase (Stason Betha), Blinky Blink, Cardan, Huddy (Andre Hudson), Meeno, Suga J, and a then unknown Loon. They released their first and only album, ''The Movement'' on March 9, 1999, which would make it to #11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and be certified gold the following month.
