Harlem World (group)
Harlem World was an American hip hop group founded by Mase that was signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def. The group consisted of seven members: Mase's sister Baby Stase (Stason Betha), Blinky Blink, Cardan, Huddy (Andre Hudson), Meeno, Suga J, and a then unknown Loon. They released their first and only album, ''The Movement'' on March 9, 1999, which would make it to #11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and be certified gold the following month. Despite the success of the album, the group disbanded later in the year with their last appearance being Mase's "From Scratch" on his second album, '' Double Up''. DeBarge
DeBarge was an American musical recording group composed of several members of the DeBarge family. In addition to various solo projects completed by members of the family, DeBarge was active between 1979 and 1989. The group originally consisted of El DeBarge, El, Mark DeBarge, Mark, Randy DeBarge, Randy, and Bunny DeBarge, Bunny. James DeBarge, James joined the group a year later for their second album. Bobby DeBarge, Bobby and Chico DeBarge, Chico joined in 1987 and 1988 respectively, replacing Bunny and El. DeBarge released six studio albums, four of them with Motown subsidiary Gordy Records. Mason Durell Betha (born August 27, 1975), better known by his mononym Mase (formerly Murda Mase and stylized as Ma$e), is an American rapper and minister. In the late 1990s, he recorded on the Bad Boy Records label alongside its founder Sean "Diddy" Combs to significant mainstream success. In 1997 and 1998, as a lead or featured artist, Mase had a total of five platinum singles, five US Rap No. 1 singles, and six ''Billboard'' Hot 100 top 10 singles, including "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down", "Mo Money Mo Problems", "Been Around the World", "Feel So Good", What You Want" and "Lookin' at Me".
