Jurong Town Hall Road
Jurong Town Hall Road () is a road in Jurong East, Singapore that connects the Pan Island Expressway and West Coast Road. It was built in 1969 through Jalan Bahru Selatan so that Route 143 could connect to the Jurong Road 10-milestone market. It was named after the Jurong Town Hall, built between May 1971 and March 1974 as the headquarters for the Jurong Town Corporation (now JTC Corporation) which had been formed in June 1968 to develop and manage industrial estates in Jurong. Currently, Jurong Town Hall (also known as Trade Association Hub) and the headquarters of JTC Corporation, The JTC Summit, have addresses of Jurong Town Hall Road. Jurong () is a major geographical region located at the south-westernmost point of the West Region of Singapore. Jurong East
Jurong East is a planning area and residential town situated in the West Region of Singapore. It borders Jurong West and Boon Lay to the west, Clementi to the east, Tengah and Bukit Batok to the north and Selat Jurong to the south. First developed in the 1970s, it is located approximately west of the Downtown Core district. Jurong East is the 7th most populated planning area in the West Region. Pan Island Expressway
The Pan Island Expressway (Abbreviated as: PIE) is the oldest and longest expressway in Singapore. It is also Singapore's longest road. The expressway runs from the East Coast Parkway near Changi Airport in the east to Tuas in the west and has a total length of . Initially conceived by the Public Works Department in the 1960s as part of road expansions for handling rising traffic volumes, work on the PIE commenced in 1964. The first section, Jalan Toa Payoh, was completed by 1969. Construction of the other segments of the expressway were carried out in the 1970s. The initial expressway, from Jalan Boon Lay to the East Coast Parkway, was completed in June 1982. The PIE was then realigned and extended further westward to Tuas between 1991 and 1993. Jurong Town Hall
The Jurong Town Hall, or Trade Association Hub (TA Hub) is a commercial building and the former headquarters of the Jurong Town Corporation. The building is symbolic of the success of Singapore's industrialisation programme in Jurong and was gazetted as a national monument on 2 June 2015. It served as a hub space for head start technology companies in the 2000s. The building was further developed into a new hub for trade associations with Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the anchor tenant by 2017. Jurong East MRT Station
Jurong East MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) (which terminates at this station) and East West (EWL) lines in Jurong East, Singapore, operated by SMRT Trains. It is located at the heart of Jurong Lake District, within the vicinity of JCube, Jem, Westgate, IMM, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong East Bus Interchange. The station opened on 5 November 1988 as part of the MRT system extension to Jurong. Jurong Regional Library (Chinese: 裕廊区域图书馆; Malay: ''Perpustakaan Wilayah Jurong'') is a public library located in Jurong East, Singapore. It is located next to JCube and is within walking distances of Jurong East Bus Interchange and Jurong East MRT station. It is the third regional library to be completed after the Tampines and Woodlands regional libraries and is currently the largest public library under the National Library Board network of public libraries. JCube
JCube is a shopping centre located in Jurong East, Singapore. It opens from 10 am to 10 pm and is home to Singapore’s first Olympic-size ice rink and the first IMAX theatre in the suburbs. It was built on the former site of the Jurong Entertainment Centre. The name, JCube was decided on after a naming competition held in 2010. J represents the mall’s location in Jurong.
