Juraj Droba
Juraj Droba (born 25 May 1971 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak politician and businessman serving since 2017 as Governor of Bratislava region since 4 December 2017. Between 2010 and 2018, he was an MP in the National Council of Slovakia. He is a founding member of the Freedom and Solidarity party. Early life Droba was born in 1971 in Bratislava. In 1996 he graduated in English and Physical Education teaching at the Comenius University in Bratislava. After the graduation he enrolled in the Executive MBA programme at the Comenius University in Bratislava, which was organized in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh. While pursuing his MBA, Droba became a partner at a local communication firm called Omnipublic. In 2001 he went to the US to enroll at the Graduate School of Political Management of the George Washington University in Washington D.C. Richard Sulík
Richard Sulík (; born 12 January 1968) is a Slovak politician, economist and businessman. He is the leader of the political party Freedom and Solidarity and served as Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Economy in Government of Slovakia led by Eduard Heger. Sulik and his party resigned from the government on August, 31 and early September. Life Born in 1968 in Czechoslovakia, Sulík emigrated in 1980 with his parents to West Germany, where they lived in the city of Pforzheim. 2020 Slovak Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Slovakia on 29 February 2020 to elect all 150 members of the National Council. The anti-corruption list led by Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (OĽaNO) movement emerged as the largest parliamentary group, winning 53 seats. The ruling coalition comprising Direction – Social Democracy (SMER–SD), the Slovak National Party (SNS), and Most–Híd (MH), led by Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini of SMER–SD, won only 38, with both the SNS and MH losing their parliamentary representation. The Slovak Democratic and Christian Union – Democratic Party ( sk, Slovenská demokratická a kresťanská únia – Demokratická strana, SDKÚ-DS) was a liberal-conservative, Christian-democratic political party in Slovakia. Eugen Jurzyca (born 8 February 1958) is a Slovak economist and a politician who has been a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Slovakia and has served as a Member of the Bureau of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group since July 2019.
