"Jungle Love" is a song from The Time's third album, ''Ice Cream Castle''. Background "Jungle Love" is a funk- pop track relying mainly on bass, analog synthesizer and drum machines, although there are elements of new wave keyboards and a rock guitar solo, allowing the song to cross musical boundaries. The track was one of the first songs recorded for the album, being cut in late March 1983 during Prince's ''1999'' tour. The track was also one of the first Time tracks to involve other members of the band in the creation of the song. Morris Day and Jesse Johnson both contributed to writing the song. Day provided sexual lead vocals and animalistic sound effects, and Johnson played guitar on the recording, while Prince played all the other instruments. The Time, also known as Morris Day and the Time and The Original 7ven, is an American musical group founded in Minneapolis in 1981. Their work has been a part of the formation of the Minneapolis sound, featuring a mix of soul music and dance music with funk, rock n roll, and more. Led by singer-songwriter Morris Day the band members are known for having been close Prince associates, and are arguably the most successful artists who have worked with Prince, achieving particular popularity with R&B fans with tracks such as " The Bird", " Cool", and " Jungle Love". "Jerk Out" is a song from The Time's 1990 album '' Pandemonium''. The song was originally recorded in December 1981 by Prince at his home studio during sessions for '' What Time Is It?''. Prince originally performed all instruments and vocals and this recording remains unreleased. Prince reworked the song in the spring of 1985 for the band Mazarati. The song was ultimately left off the Mazarati album, though circulates among collectors. Again, the song was reworked in late 1989 for inclusion on ''Pandemonium'' Prince And Bruce DeShazer AKA Tony Christian From Mazarati Background Vocals Remain On Finish Track and contains input by the band. ''Originals'' is a posthumous demo album by American musician Prince, released through Warner Records on June 7, 2019 (on what would have been Prince's 61st birthday), exclusively through Tidal, with a wide release following on June 21, 2019. All except for Prince's recording of "Nothing Compares 2 U", which was first officially released in 2018, were previously unreleased.
