Egidius Junger
Egidius Jünger, also spelled Aegidius Jünger (April 6, 1833 – December 26, 1895), was a German-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Nesqually in the Washington Territory in the United States from 1879 until his death in 1895. Biography Early life Egidius Jünger was born on April 6, 1833, in Burtscheid in Rhenish Prussia (in what is today Germany). He received his early education at the schools of Burtscheid and made his classical studies at the '' gymnasium'' of Aachen. In 1853, Jünger entered the Catholic University of Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. Priesthood Jünger was ordained to the priesthood in Mechelen, Belgium on June 27, 1862. He came to the United States as a missionary in October of that year, being stationed at Walla Walla, Washington. He became rector of St. James Cathedral in Vancouver, Washington, in 1864. Paul Junger Witt (March 20, 1941 – April 27, 2018) was an American film and television producer. He, with his partners Tony Thomas and Susan Harris (also his wife), produced such television shows as ''Here Come the Brides'', ''The Partridge Family'', ''The Golden Girls'', ''Soap'', ''Benson'', ''It's a Living'', ''Empty Nest'', and ''Blossom''. The majority of their shows have been produced by their company, Witt/Thomas Productions (alternately Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions), founded in 1975. Witt also produced the films ''Dead Poets Society'', ''Three Kings'', ''Insomnia'', and the made-for-TV movie ''Brian's Song''. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia. Peter Junger
Peter D. Junger (1933 – November 2006) was a computer law professor and Internet activist, most famous for having fought against the U.S. government's regulations of and export controls on encryption software. The case, '' Junger v. Daley'' (6th Cir. 2000), held that computer source code is protected by the First Amendment. The US government prohibited publication of encryption software on the Internet, arguing that encryption software was a " munition" subject to export controls. Junger filed suit in 1996 challenging the regulations. Junger also did significant legal theoretical work on the interplay between intellectual property, computer law, and the First Amendment. Germany was represented by Danish singer Gitte Hænning, with the song "Junger Tag", at the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 7 April in Luxembourg City. "Junger Tag" was the winner of the German national final, ''Ein Lied für Luxemburg'', held on 21 February.
