Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island that is from Jumeirah Beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. Jumeirah Archaeological Site
The Jumeirah Archaeological Site is a site which dates back to the Abbasid period in the 9th century AD, in the district of Jumeirah in the city of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. It was first excavated in 1969 with different ancient items including architectural and decorative findings, ranging from a mosque, caravanserai, and residential houses to glazed pottery jars and plateware, bronze coins, glass and stone artefacts. It is owned and managed by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. Manasir (tribe)
The Manasir ( ar, المناصير, singular Mansuri) is a tribe of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Nomadic, warlike and fiercely independent, they roamed between Buraimi and Qatar, the Persian Gulf coast to Liwa and also settled in the Northern emirates. They subsisted through date farming, pearling and moving goods with their camel trains, as well as camel breeding. The Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) is an exhibition space for digital art and a venue for digital theatre located at Souk Madinat in Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. ToDA was announced in 2019, providing a 1,800 m2 immersive art space, with surround sound and large projection screens on the ceiling and all the walls. It opened its doors to the public in 2020. It provides a multimedia and multi- sensory exhibition space. ToDA exhibits work by digital artists around the world. It also hosts concerts. Pearl hunting, also known as pearling, is the activity of recovering pearls from wild molluscs, usually oysters or mussels, in the sea or freshwater. Pearl hunting was prevalent in the Persian Gulf region and Japan for thousands of years. On the northern and north-western coast of Western Australia pearl diving began in the 1850s, and started in the Torres Strait Islands in the 1860s, where the term also covers diving for nacre or mother of pearl found in what were known as pearl shells.
