Julie Pullin
Julie Pullin (born 5 November 1975), now Julie Hobbs, is a retired British tennis player who turned professional in 1993. She won eight singles titles and 25 doubles titles on the ITF circuit, many with compatriot Lorna Woodroffe. She is most well known for receiving nine wild cards over her career for the ladies' singles at Wimbledon, but failing to win a match. She reached her career-high WTA singles ranking of 125 in April 2000, after she achieved her best performance in a Grand Slam championship, qualifying and reaching the second round of the Australian Open for the first time. Pullin had defeated Slovak 15th seed Martina Suchá in the first round of qualifying 6–4, 7–5, Gloria Pizzichini 6–4, 6–0 in the second and American Samantha Reeves in the final round 6–2, 7–6. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Anke Huber (born 4 December 1974) is a German retired top-five professional tennis player. She was the runner-up in women's singles at the 1996 Australian Open – Women's singles, 1996 Australian Open and the 1995 WTA Tour Championships, 1995 WTA Finals. Huber won twelve singles and one doubles title on the Women's Tennis Association, WTA Tour. Julie Scott Thu (born October 16, 1975) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. She competed for most of her career as Julie Scott. Biography A left-handed player from Austin, Texas, Thu played collegiate tennis at Stanford University and was a 5-time All-American, winning back to back Pac-10 singles championships in 1996 and 1997. She was a member of Stanford's 1997 NCAA championship team, with her win over Florida's Stephanie Nickitas securing the title. While at Stanford she and Cristina Moros qualified for the women's doubles main draw at the 1997 US Open. Dawn Alexis Buth (born May 29, 1976) is an American former college and professional tennis player. As a collegiate player, she played for the University of Florida and won two national doubles championships. As a professional, she played on the ITF Women's Circuit (ITF) and WTA Tour (WTA) from 1998 to 2001. Yi Jingqian (; born 28 February 1974, in Nanjing) is a retired tennis player from China. Yi first played in the China Fed Cup team in 1991, and turned professional in 1994. In her career, she won 13 singles titles and six doubles titles on tournaments of the ITF circuit. Yi appeared in the finals of two WTA Tour tournaments in 1995: those at Surabaya and Pattaya. She appeared in the main draw in several major tournaments as a singles player from 1996 to 2001. Jane Chi (; born June 21, 1974) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Early career Chi was born in El Paso, Texas, to parents Steven and Ling. At the age of 11 she started playing tennis and after graduating from high school in 1992 played collegially at the University of California, Los Angeles. She attended the university for three years, while studying for a political science degree, during which time he earned multiple All-American honors. Her regular doubles partner was younger sister Stephanie.
