Julie Biesmans
Julie Biesmans (born 4 May 1994) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for PSV Eindhoven in the women's Eredivisie. Club career Standard Liège, 2012–2017 Biesmans started her senior career playing for Standard Liège in the Belgium-Netherlands League (BeNe League) (2012–2015) and then Belgian Super League (2015–2017). In 2012–13, she won the Belgium part of the BeNe League and came in second in the BeNe League. She also won the 2012–13 Belgium Super Cup and BeNe Super Cup. Liège and Biesmans also competed in the Champions League losing in the round of 32. She again finished runner up in the 2013–14 BeNe League and excited in the round of 32 in the 2013–14 UEFA Women's Champions League. However, she was part of the squad which won the 2013–14 Belgian Women's Cup. Bilzen
Bilzen () is a city and a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. In 2021, Bilzen had a total population of 32,536. The total area is 75.90 km² which gives a population density of 426 inhabitants per km². Bilzen consists of the city of Bilzen and the following villages: , Eigenbilzen, , , , , , , , Rijkhoven, , and . It was in 1977 that they all became part of the municipality Bilzen because of the fusion of municipalities. The 2017 UEFA European Women's Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Women's Euro 2017, was the 12th edition of the UEFA Women's Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the women's national teams of Europe. The competition was expanded to 16 teams (from 12 teams in the previous edition). The Netherlands were declared as hosts by the UEFA Executive Committee on 4 December 2014. FA WSL
The Women's Super League (WSL), currently known as the Barclays Women's Super League (BWSL) for sponsorship reasons, is the highest league of women's football in England. Established in 2010, it is run by the Football Association and features twelve fully professional teams. The league replaced the FA Women's Premier League National Division as the highest level of women's football in England, with eight teams competing in the inaugural 2011 season. In the WSL's first two seasons, there was no relegation from the division. The WSL discarded the winter football season for six years, between 2011 and 2016, playing through the summer instead (from March until October). 2014–15 BeNe League
The 2014–15 BeNe League was the third and last season of the Belgium and Netherlands' women's football top level league. The defending champion was FC Twente. The season started on 29 August 2014 and was played in a single division. The season finished on 8 May 2015. Following this season, Belgium and the Netherlands will have their own top level league again. The BeNe League initiative was ended because Dutch clubs and the Dutch FA failed to come to an agreement regarding the clubs' financial participation for the following seasons.
