Jukka Backlund
Jukka Henri Kristian Backlund (born 30 December 1982, Helsinki) is a Finnish music producer and multi-instrumentalist. Backlund was previously a member of the Finnish rock band Sunrise Avenue, where he played keyboards. He is best known for producing their first album, '' On the Way to Wonderland'', which is the best-selling international debut from Finland. Many of the songs on the album were co-written by Backlund and the lead singer Samu Haber, including the singles " Fairytale Gone Bad" and " Forever Yours". As a musician, Backlund has worked as a bandleader and keyboardist for numerous artists since he started his professional career in 1998. In 2011, he founded the pop-fusion band DEAD SIRIUS 3000 with his brother Tapio Backlund and guitarist Petteri Sariola. In this band, Backlund plays drums. Kaj Backlund
Harry Kaj Olof Backlund (24 February 1945 – 25 December 2013) was a Finnish jazz trumpeter, composer, arranger, bandleader, theorist, and one of the founders of the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory and the Jazz Department of Sibelius Academy. He was also one of the founding members of UMO Jazz Orchestra. He was a contemporary music education pioneer in Finland and a long-running senior music theory teacher in Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Backlund started playing trumpet at the age of seven in a youth brass band led by his father, at the Church of Paavali in Helsinki. At 14 years of age, he founded his first big band, which also included Paroni Paakkunainen, Teppo Hauta-aho, Eero Ojanen, Pekka Pöyry, and Juhani Aaltonen. Antti Tuisku
Antti Tuisku (born 27 February 1984) is a Finnish pop singer. He finished third in the 2003 '' Idols'' talent show, the Finnish version of ''Pop Idol''. Tuisku has sold over 300,000 records during his career in Finland. In 2016, Tuisku won the Best Male Artist 2015 award at Emma-gaala. Hanna Helena Pakarinen (born 17 April 1981) is a Finnish pop and pop-rock singer who rose to fame as the winner of the first series of the Finnish singing competition '' Idols'' in 2004. Geir Rönning
Geir Rönning (born 5 November 1962) is a Norwegian-Finnish professional singer-songwriter from Ålesund. He later moved to the capital Oslo in the 1980s, and later on to Stockholm, Sweden, where he found opportunity to start a musical career. He later moved to Finland, which he represented in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. Kaija Kokkola (born 10 September 1962), better known by her stage name Kaija Koo, is a Finnish singer. ''Idols'' is a Finnish reality-television singing competition that airs on Nelonen (and formerly also on MTV3 and Sub). It debuted in the summer of 2003, and went on to become one of the most popular shows on Finnish television. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it originated from the reality program ''Pop Idol'' created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom. Gimmel (band)
Gimmel were a Finnish girl group. In the spring of 2002, a ''Popstars'' competition was held in Finland to find members to form a pop band. 454 young women participated in the singing trials. 25 girls made it to the final selection round. Members of the first Popstars band in Finland were Jenni Vartiainen, Susanna Korvala, Ushma Karnani, and Jonna Pirinen.
