Judkins Middle School
The Lucia Mar Unified School District (LMUSD) is the largest school district in San Luis Obispo County, with about 10,700 students. It covers at the southern end of the county, from Shell Beach (at the north end of Pismo Beach) to the county line at the Santa Maria River. This territory encompasses the communities of Shell Beach, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Oceano, Halcyon, and Nipomo. School changes Central Coast New Tech High School opened in 2012 with a freshman class. The school added a freshman class each year, reaching all four classes in the 2015–2016 school year. Two new schools have been built in Nipomo: Nipomo High School in 2002, and Dorothea Lange Elementary in 2006. A few years earlier, Lopez Continuation High School moved to a new campus on the Nipomo Mesa. Halcyon, California
Halcyon is an unincorporated community of about 125 acres (50 ha) in San Luis Obispo County, California, just south of Arroyo Grande. It was founded in 1903 as a Theosophical intentional community and is the home and headquarters of a religious organization, The Temple of the People (not to be confused with Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple). The Temple group was founded in 1898. History Halcyon is registered as an Historical Site both Federally and in the state of California. It is the town which contains a community established by a group of Theosophists in the early 1900s, who built a Temple and surrounding buildings. Lopez Early College High School serves as the magnet school of the fine arts as well as the agricultural academy at Brownsville Independent School District in Texas. Paulding Middle School
Paulding Middle School (formerly the Arroyo Grande Union High School) was originally the first high school built in the area in 1906. Decades later, the school became the lower school that fed into the new high school. Currently, the school is one of three middle schools in the Lucia Mar Unified School District teaching about 625 students in grades 7 and 8. Paulding has been designated a California Distinguished School four times Awarded in 2005, 2001, 1996, and 1988. Arroyo Grande High School (AGHS) is an American public high school located in Arroyo Grande, California. It serves grades 9–12 as part of the Lucia Mar Unified School District (LMUSD). Campus The majority of classrooms are arranged in rows, starting with the 100s wing at the front of the school, and the 800 wing at the back of the school. The athletic fields bisect the school. Nipomo (; Chumash: ''Nipumuʔ'') is a unincorporated town in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States. The population was 16,714 for the 2010 census and grew to 18,176 for the 2020 census.
