Juan Evaristo
Juan Evaristo (20 June 1902 – 8 May 1978) was an Argentine football wing half-back who played for Argentina between 1923 and 1930. Along with his younger brother Mario, an outside left, they became the first siblings to appear in a World Cup final. Club career Evaristo played for Sportivo Palermo, Club Atlético Huracán and Sportivo Barracas during the amateur era of Argentine football. In 1931 he joined Boca Juniors helping them to win the first ever professional title in Argentine football. He left Boca for Club Atlético Independiente in 1932 and later played for Argentinos Juniors where he retired from football in 1937. He and his brother Mario were in charge of Boca's youth academies for more than 30 years. ''El Gráfico'' is an Argentine online sports magazine, originally published by Editorial Atlántida as a print publication between 1919 and 2018. ''El Gráfico'' was released in May 1919 as a weekly newspaper, and then turned to a sports magazine exclusively. It began to be scheduled monthly from 2002, and was discontinued in 2018, continuing only online. The magazine was nicknamed ''La Biblia del deporte'' ("The Bible of sports") due to its chronicles, notable journalists and collaborators and its photographies. Marino "Mario" Evaristo (10 December 1908 – 30 April 1993) was an Argentine footballer who played for the Argentina national football team. He was a member of the runner-up Argentine team in the 1930 FIFA World Cup and along with his elder brother Juan, a wing half-back, they became the first siblings to appear in a World Cup final. Evaristo was christened Marino, but later changed his name to Mario. He played for Sportivo Palermo, Club Atlético Independiente and Boca Juniors in Argentina, he was part of the Boca team that won the Primera Division Argentina 1931 (the first professional champions of Argentina). Later in his career he moved to Europe, where he played for Genoa C.F.C. in Italy, and for Nice and Antibes in France. The eleventh edition of the South American Championship was held in Lima, Peru from 30 October to 27 November 1927.
