Juan Direction
Juan Direction was a weekly, 30 minute documentary-style reality show that aired on TV5 in the Philippines. It aired every Sunday from 10:15pm to 10:45pm. The show's first season aired from June 23, 2014 to July 4, 2014. The third and final season aired from September 22, 2014 to October 3, 2014. History The original members of Juan Direction first formed the group in 2012 under the name "Island Media Asia" (IMA). They originally posted tutorial and documentary-style travel videos on Twitch. Their style was described as "vlogumentary", a mix of vlogging and documentary. Although they continued to make videos online after beginning the reality show, their main popularity was a result of the group's previous work on YouTube. While IMA had seven members, Juan Direction featured only five of the original members. The other two (Matthew Edwards and Keys Cosido) had a recurring role in the show. Trick-or-treating
Trick-or-treating is a traditional Halloween custom for children and adults in some countries. During the evening of Halloween, on October 31, people in costumes travel from house to house, asking for treats with the phrase "trick or treat". The "treat" is some form of confectionery, usually candy/sweets, although in some cultures money is given instead. The "trick" refers to a threat, usually idle, to perform mischief on the resident(s) or their property if no treat is given. Some people signal that they are willing to hand out treats by putting up Halloween decorations outside their doors; houses may also leave their porch lights on as a universal indicator that they have candy; some simply leave treats available on their porches for the children to take freely, on the honor system. Dauis
Dauis, officially the Municipality of Dauis ( ceb, Munisipalidad sa Dauis; tgl, Bayan ng Dauis), is now a 2nd class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 52,492 people. The town has many fine beaches, resorts, and a historic church, built in the 17th century. The Hinagdanan Cave is also a draw for tourists. History Dauis is one of the oldest municipalities of Bohol, as attested by the discovery of early Chinese artifacts in the 1970s. All records of the town were destroyed in World War Two, however church records show the parish was established in 1697. The stone watchtower, now only ruins, was built in 1774. Boholano People
The Boholano people, also called Bol-anon, refers to the people who live in the island province of Bohol. They are part of the wider Bisaya ethnolinguistic group, who constitute the largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group. Language Boholano is a dialect of Cebuano that is spoken on the island of Bohol in the Philippines, which is a Visayan speech variety, although it is sometimes described as a separate language by some linguists and native speakers. Boholano, especially the dialects used in Central Bohol, can be distinguished from other Cebuano dialects by a few phonetic changes.
