João Ribeiro (footballer)
João da Rocha Ribeiro (born 13 August 1987) is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a left winger. Club career Born in Porto, Ribeiro was brought up in FC Porto's youth system. Still a junior he made his senior debuts, playing only six times in two seasons combined with the reserves in the third division. Released by Porto, Ribeiro signed a four-year contract with Associação Naval 1º de Maio in the 2006 summer. He made his Primeira Liga debut on 3 December in a 0–2 away loss against C.D. Aves (25 minutes played), and appeared in a further 11 games as the Figueira da Foz club retained its division status. In the following campaign, Ribeiro became first-choice at Naval, featuring in 27 matches and scoring once as his team finished in 11th position. He missed the vast majority of 2008–09, due to injury. ''Record'' is a Portuguese sports newspaper, founded in 1949 by Manuel Dias, published in Lisbon. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. 2012–13 Taça De Portugal
The 2012–13 Taça de Portugal was the 73rd season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier Portuguese football knockout cup competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). It was contested by a total of 162 teams competing in the top four tiers of Portuguese football. The competition began with the first round matches in August 2012 and concluded with the final on 26 May 2013, at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras. Vitória de Guimarães were the winners, following their 2–1 defeat of Benfica. They secured their first title in the competition after five previous failed attempts and became the twelfth team to win the Taça de Portugal – the first first-time winners since Beira-Mar in 1999. With this victory, Vitória de Guimarães qualified for the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League group stage.
