Josée Lacasse
Josée Lacasse (born 25 October 1965) is a Canadian former alpine skier who competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics. Winning multiple World Cup titles she was a force to be reckoned with. Now currently residing in the United States, she has two beautiful daughter Zoë (18) and Danika (16.) She continues to share her skills and knowledge for the sport, by coaching kids on the Diamond Peak Ski Team in Lake Tahoe. Alpine Skiing
Alpine skiing, or downhill skiing, is the pastime of sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed-heel bindings, unlike other types of skiing ( cross-country, Telemark, or ski jumping), which use skis with free-heel bindings. Whether for recreation or for sport, it is typically practiced at ski resorts, which provide such services as ski lifts, artificial snow making, snow grooming, restaurants, and ski patrol. Sierra Nevada University (SNU) was a private university in Incline Village, Nevada in the Sierra Nevada (U.S.), Sierras. In 2022 it became University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe. Founded in 1969, Sierra Nevada College was accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Prior to 2020, the institution was known as Sierra Nevada College. In the summer of 2019, Dr. Ed Zschau became the interim president of Sierra Nevada University and, among other initiatives, spearheaded the change in the institution's name. Diamond Peak (ski Area)
Diamond Peak is a ski resort in the western United States, located in Incline Village, Nevada. Near the northeast shore of Lake Tahoe, the resort has 6 chairlifts, 30 runs, open glades, and tree skiing on its of terrain. Its summit elevation is above sea level, yielding a vertical drop of , sixth among the ski areas surrounding Lake Tahoe. Its season ranges from December to April, and its longest run is .
