José Luis Centella
José Luis Centella Gómez (born 1958) is a Communist Party of Spain (PCE) politician. He served in the Congress of Deputies from 1995 to 2004 and 2011 to 2015. He was his party's secretary general from 2009 to 2018, subsequently becoming its president. Biography Born in Córdoba, Centella became a teacher and was elected to the town council in Benalmádena in 1987. In 1995, he became a member of the Congress of Deputies representing Málaga, succeeding Antonio Romero Ruiz who was running for mayor. In October 1996, he sent 1,373 pesetas (less than €10) to prime minister José María Aznar in protest at government spending for the province of Málaga; the amount was what Centella estimated to be the government's spend per person in the province. Felipe Alcaraz
Luis Felipe Alcaraz Masats (born 1 March 1943 in Granada) is a Spanish politician. He is the current Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Spain. Alcaraz obtained a doctorate in philology and began as a university professor. He began his opposition to Francoism in the 1950s. In 1973 he joined the Communist Party of Spain and in 1979 joined the Central Committee and was chosen as deputy for Jaén. In 1981 he was chosen Secretary General of the Partido Comunista de Andalucía, a position that he maintained until 2002. He was chosen deputy of the Parliament of Andalusia by Seville Province in 1982, 1986 and 1990, being several times parliamentary spokesman of the PCE and IU. Enrique Fernando Santiago Romero (born 1964) is a Spanish lawyer and politician, who is the secretary-general of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) since April 2018. ''ABC'' () is a Spanish national daily newspaper. It is the second largest general-interest newspaper in Spain, number one in Madrid, and the oldest newspaper still operating in Madrid. Seville ( es, Sevilla) is one of the 52 constituencies ( es, link=no, circunscripciones) represented in the Congress of Deputies, the lower chamber of the Spanish parliament, the Cortes Generales. The constituency currently elects 12 deputies. Its boundaries correspond to those of the Spanish province of Seville. United Left ( es, Izquierda Unida , IU) is a federative political movement in Spain that was first organized as a coalition in 1986, bringing together several left-wing political organizations, most notably the Communist Party of Spain. 2011 Spanish General Election
The 2011 Spanish general election was held on Sunday, 20 November 2011, to elect the 10th Cortes Generales of the Kingdom of Spain. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election, as well as 208 of 266 seats in the Senate. An election had not been due until April 2012 at latest, but a call by Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero for a snap election five months ahead of schedule was announced on 29 July 2011.
