Josh Williams (Australian Footballer)
Josh Williams (born 12 June 1998) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Williams was raised in Townsville and played with the Hermit Park Tigers in the Townsville Australian Football League. He was identified as an AFL prospect and signed to the Gold Coast Suns Academy as a teenager. He was drafted by North Melbourne with their third selection and thirty-sixth overall in the 2016 national draft. He made his debut in the twenty-seven point loss to at Etihad Stadium in round eighteen of the 2017 season as a late inclusion for Robbie Tarrant. He was delisted at the end of the 2018 season. Hermit Park Tigers Australian Football Club
AFL Townsville is an amateur competition formed as the Townsville Australian Football League in 1955, the first contemporary AFL competition to be formed outside of the South East Queensland. It is based in the city of Townsville. For a short period in the 1980s, the competition was played during the summer months. The representative team is known as the Eagles and they wear similar guernseys to the Zillmere Eagles' old white and blue guernseys. History A Townsville representative team travelled to Cairns in 1884 to play one of the earliest recorded matches in Far North Queensland. Robbie Tarrant
Robbie Tarrant (born 25 April 1989) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having previously played for the North Melbourne Football Club. He is the younger brother of former and player, Chris Tarrant. Early career Tarrant was born in Mildura, Victoria and is the younger brother of former Collingwood defender Chris Tarrant. Tarrant originally played for South Mildura in the Sunraysia Football League and moved to Melbourne in 2005. After graduating from Xavier College in 2006, in 2007 he worked as a teller at Bendigo Bank in Bendigo as well as playing for the Bendigo Pioneers. AFL career Tarrant was drafted by the Kangaroos Football Club with their first selection and fifteenth overall in the 2007 national draft.
