Josh Harrison
Joshua Isaiah Harrison (born July 8, 1987) is an American professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals, Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox since 2011. Harrison is a two-time MLB All-Star. Early life and career Harrison began playing tee ball at the age of three years. Before playing in organized baseball, Harrison displayed interest in the game. Using a fork from his home's kitchen as a bat and a balled-up piece of paper, Harrison played makeshift baseball with his older brother, Vince, who pitched the paper to him. Harrison played shortstop at Princeton High School in Sharonville, Ohio. Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals are an American professional baseball team based in Washington, D.C.. They compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the National League (NL) East division. From 2005 to 2007, the team played in RFK Stadium while a new stadium was being built. The World Baseball Classic (WBC) is an international baseball tournament sanctioned from 2006 to 2013 by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) and after 2013 by World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) in partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB). It was proposed to the IBAF by Major League Baseball (MLB), the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), and other professional baseball leagues and their players associations around the world. Cincinnati Steam
The Cincinnati Steam is a collegiate summer baseball club that competes in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, which is one of twelve leagues formed under the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball. The Steam club was founded in 2006 and plays their home games at the P&G Cincinnati Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Steam Baseball Club has a close association with the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund and The Reds Urban Youth Academy. The GLSCL was established by Major League Baseball in order to develop college baseball prospects and is one of many summer collegiate baseball circuits throughout the country that has produced numerous major league players over the years. Cincinnati Bearcats Baseball
The Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team represents The University of Cincinnati in NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's baseball competition. The Bearcats currently compete in The American Athletic Conference The University of Cincinnati began varsity intercollegiate competition in baseball in 1886. College Baseball
College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball. However, if players do opt to enroll at a four-year college to play baseball, they must complete three years to regain professional eligibility, unless they reach age 21 before starting their third year of college. Players who enroll at junior colleges (i.e., two-year institutions) regain eligibility after one year at that level. Tee-ball (also teeball, tee ball or T-ball) is a team sport based on a simplified form of baseball or softball. It is intended as an introduction for children aged 4 to 6 to develop ball-game skills and have fun.
