Josh Grajczonek
Joshua Lee "Josh" Grajczonek (born 5 February 1990) is an Australian speedway rider. Career Born in Townsville, Queensland, Grajczonek's big break in British Speedway came as an 18-year-old with the Glasgow Tigers. During 4 years with the team he won his first major trophy as a Speedway rider, the 2011 Premier League. For the majority of his time in Britain he has 'doubled-up' riding for a team in both the Elite League and the Premier League. After spells with both the Belle Vue Aces and the Swindon Robins in the Elite League, Grajczonek experienced two successful years riding for the Poole Pirates. In two full seasons with the team he won the Elite League on both occasions. Despite being a part of such a successful period with the club he was initially left out of the teams plans for the 2015 season and it looked as though he would be left without an Elite League club for the 2015 season. Townsville is a city on the north-eastern coast of Queensland, Australia. The National Speedway Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium on Kirkmanshulme Lane, in Gorton, Manchester, England and is the home of the Belle Vue Aces and Belle Vue Colts speedway teams and the Manchester Titans American football team. Origins and opening In 2007, Chris Morton and David Gordon proposed that a new stadium should be built that could be used as the home for the Belle Vue Aces and be used as a national speedway stadium. Seven years later in September 2014, the planning application for the Stadium was approved by Manchester City Council. The planned site on Kirkmanshulme Lane was previously a grassed area containing hockey pitches. Construction on the National Speedway Stadium started in October 2014 and it opened in March 2016 as part of the Belle Vue's £11 million regeneration scheme.
