Josh Cullen Santos (born October 22, 1993), better known by his mononym Josh, is a Filipino singer, producer, songwriter, dancer, and a professional gamer. He is the lead rapper and sub-vocalist of the Filipino boy band SB19 managed under ShowBT Philippines. Early life Josh was born on October 22, 1993 in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines to Aldrene Stephanie Santos. He is the youngest in the family along with two sisters. He revealed on a YouTube vlog that a single mother raised him and he never met his biological father. In the same tell-all vlog, Santos revealed that he was a victim of domestic violence by their nanny while their mother was at work. Santos and family struggled financially leading to his intermittent schooling, and graduated high school at a later age. After graduating, Santos worked as a computer technician and a call center agent prior to auditioning as a talent. SB19 is a Filipino boy band that debuted in 2018, the pentad—consisting of members Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh. They were trained for 4 years by ShowBT Philippines, beginning in 2016. They are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in ''Billboard'' Music Awards for the Top Social Artist category. They are also the first Southeast Asian act to enter the top 10 of ''Billboard'' Social 50 weekly and year-end charts. SB19 promotes its music as part of Pinoy pop (P-pop)—a popular sub-genre of Original Pilipino Music. Name The letters in the group name were from the initials of their Korean management company, ShowBT. ''Get in the Zone'' is the debut studio album by Filipino boy band SB19, released on July 31, 2020, by Sony Music. It contains six original compositions, an electronic remix, and two instrumentals. Background and development In a press conference, ShowBT CEO Robin Geong discussed to inform the media for what's in store for SB19 in 2020. One of the events that was scheduled was the group's debut album release. The music production for SB19's first full album has come to completion and was originally planned to be released in March 2020. Most of the songs were written before the release of "Go Up", but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they need to find time when to drop it.
