Joseph L. Sanchez
Joseph Louis Sanchez is an American politician who served in the New Mexico House of Representatives from January 17, 2019 to January 19, 2021. Prior to entering state politics, Sanchez was an electrical engineer. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and education Sanchez was born and raised in Alcalde, New Mexico, a small farming community in Northern New Mexico. Sanchez earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico and two master's degrees, one in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico and one in business administration, from New Mexico State University. Career Sanchez was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in the 2018 elections. He is running for the seat in the United States House of Representatives in the 2020 elections. Nick Salazar
Nick L. Salazar (April 18, 1929 – October 23, 2020) was an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing the 40th District from 1974 to 2019. Early life and education Born in San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico, Salazar attended the University of California, Santa Barbara. He served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of sergeant. Career Salazar served as a county commissioner from 1964 to 1968. From 1974 to 2019, he served as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 40th district. As House members are only paid per diem, Salazar worked as a mechanical technician at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in New Mexico was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the three U.S. representatives from the state of New Mexico, one from each of the state's three congressional districts. The elections coincided with the 2020 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections. As a result of Herrell and Fernandez's wins, the election resulted in all three members of New Mexico's house delegation being women of color, the second US state (after Hawaii) to do so. Valerie Elise Plame (born August 13, 1963) is an American writer, spy novelist, and former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officer. As the subject of the 2003 Plame affair, also known as the CIA leak scandal, Plame's identity as a CIA officer was leaked to and subsequently published by Robert Novak of ''The Washington Post''. In the aftermath of the scandal, Richard Armitage in the U.S. Department of State was identified as one source of the information, and Scooter Libby, Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was convicted of lying to investigators. Roger Evan Montoya (born February 3, 1961) is an American humanitarian, painter, former professional dancer and gymnast, and politician serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 40th district.
