Joseph Boahen Aidoo (born 13 December 1957) is a Ghanaian politician who served as a Member of Parliament for the Amenfi East constituency in the Western Region. Early life and education He was born on 13 December 1957 in Wassa Afransie in the Wassa Amenfi East District in the Western region of Ghana. He holds a degree in Geography specialising in Resource Development from the University of Ghana and an MPhil degree in Geography also from University Of Ghana. He has a certificate in Land Reform, Agricultural and Rural Development from the Land Reform Institute LRTI Taoyuang,Taiwan. Career He is a Research fellow and a lecturer. He was a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a research fellow. He was a researcher with the Institute of Land Management and Development ILMAD and did extensive work on land and cocoa. Amenfi East is one of the Constituency, constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana. It elects one Member of Parliament, Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. Nicholas Amankwah is the member of parliament for the constituency. He was elected on the Ticket (election), ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and won a majority of 2,333 votes to become the Member of Parliament, MP.
