Josep Llobet
Josep Llobet (1875 – 1937) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender and midfielder for FC Barcelona between 1899 and 1904. He was one of the most important footballers in the amateur beginnings of FC Barcelona, being among the 12 founders of the club in 1899, and then serving Barça as a player for six years, featuring in the club's first-ever match and winning the 1901–02 Copa Macaya, which was the club's first-ever official title. In addition to football, he also practiced other modalities such as fencing and sailing, belonging to the ''Club Regatas de Barcelona'', and in his civilian life, he was a pharmaceutical representative. Team Anglès
Team Anglès or English Colony Team, was a football scratch team based in Barcelona, Spain, which existed only during the year 1900, playing a total of four friendly matches against the likes of FC Barcelona and Català FC. The team mainly consisted of members of the British colony living in Barcelona, hence its name. Some historians ascribe this entity as "a group of thirty friends, English workers, who played alternately and without a regular squad". They also played a massive role in FC Barcelona's beginnings, since Team Anglès merged with them on 13 December 1899, just two weeks after Barça was founded, and some of its players were prominent figures in Barça's early success. 1902 Copa De La Coronación
The 1902 Copa de la Coronación was a football competition in honour of the coronation of Alfonso XIII of Spain. The Royal Spanish Football Federation does not recognize it as the first season of the Copa del Rey, which began the following year. The competition was thought up after Carlos Padrós, later president of Madrid FC, suggested a football competition to celebrate the coronation of Alfonso XIII. Four other teams joined Madrid for the first competition: FC Barcelona, Club Español de Foot-Ball, Bizcaya (a combination of Athletic Club and Bilbao Football Club) and New Foot-Ball Club. The competition featured the first recorded game between Barcelona and Madrid FC, with the former emerging as 3–1 winners, courtesy of goals from Udo Steinberg and Joan Gamper. 1901–02 FC Barcelona Season
The 1901–02 season was the third season for FC Barcelona. Events The first game of the season was a friendly against Hispania AC which ended in a 1–0 victory thanks to a goal from Joan Gamper. The following game was the first at camp de la Carretera d'Horta, and Gamper contributed decisively once again with a hat-trick to help his side to a 4–0 win over the crew of Calliope. A few months later, Barça won the first official piece of silverware, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya. The Hispà nia Athletic Club was a football team based in Barcelona, Spain, which existed during the years 1900 and 1903. The Hispania Athletic Club Tournament–Alfonso Macaya Cup, popularly known as the Copa Macaya, was a football competition contested by clubs from Catalonia which ran from 1900 until 1903, disappearing at the same time of its organizers, Hispania AC, who won the first edition in 1901. The 1900–01 Copa Macaya was the 1st staging of the Copa Macaya. This tournament is best known for being the very first football competition played on the Iberian Peninsula. The competition was held on the road between 20 January 1901 and ended on 14 April, and it was won by Hispania AC, narrowly beating FC Barcelona by just two points.
