Josef Homeyer
Josef Homeyer (1 August 1929 – 30 March 2010) was a German Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hildesheim, located in Hildesheim, from his appointment by Pope John Paul II on 25 August 1983 until his retirement on 20 August 2004. Biography He was born in Harsewinkel, Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He died in Hildesheim, Germany, on 30 March 2010, at the age of 80. One of his many activities was to set the foundation of the Forschungsinstitut für Philosophie Hannover in 1988. In the canon law of the Catholic Church, the term is used to refer to the vacancy of the bishop's or Pope's authority upon his death or resignation. Norbert Trelle (born 5 September 1942) is a prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as auxiliary bishop of Cologne from 1992 till 2005, when he became bishop of Hildesheim. Life Born in Kassel, Trelle was ordained to the priesthood on 2 February 1968. On 25 March 1992 he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Cologne and titular bishop of '' Egnatia''. The Forschungsinstitut für Philosophie Hannover ( en, Hannover Institute for Philosophical Research) is a research institute in Hanover, Germany. Its field of activity is philosophy.
