Jordan Gusman
Jordan Gusman (born 30 January 1994) is a Maltese middle and long-distance runner who won several medals for Malta at the Games of the Small States of Europe. From Corindi Beach, Australia, he was eligible to represent Malta from 21 August 2019. As an Australian, he won the 800 m at the 2012 Oceania Junior Athletics Championships. Eastwood is a suburb of Sydney, Australia. Eastwood is located 17 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government areas of the City of Ryde and the City of Parramatta. 3000 Metres
The 3000 metres or 3000-metre run is a track running event, also commonly known as the "3K" or "3K run", where 7.5 laps are run around an outdoor 400 m track, or 15 laps around a 200 m indoor track. It is debated whether the 3000m should be classified as a middle-distance or long-distance event. In elite-level competition, 3000 m pace is more comparable to the pace found in the longer 5000 metres event, rather than mile pace. The world record performance for 3000 m equates to a pace of 58.76 seconds per 400 m, which is closer to the 60.43 seconds for 5000 m than the 55.46 seconds for the mile. However, the 3000 m does require some anaerobic conditioning, and an elite athlete needs to develop a high tolerance to lactic acid, as does the mile runner. 2023 Games Of The Small States Of Europe
The 2023 Games of the Small States of Europe, also known as the XIX Games of the Small States of Europe or informally Malta 2023 took place in Valletta, Malta from 28 May to 3 June 2023. Malta previously hosted the 1993 and 2003 editions of the Games. The 2023 installation was originally planned to be the XX Games rather than the XIX Games, but the 2021 edition in Andorra was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bid and preparation In February 2017, Julian Pace Bonello, the president of the Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC), announced that Malta would bid for the 2023 Games. In June 2021, after the Games in Andorra had been cancelled, Marti Mandinco, the president of the Andorran Olympic Committee, handed over the presidency of the Games to Bonello.
