Jonathan Wade Drahos
Jonathan Wade-Drahos is an American film and television actor who is most famous for his lead role as John Webster in Dirk Shafer's 2001 film '' Circuit''. He also played lead role as Gary in Ryan Bottiglieri's 2010 film ''Trim''. Jonathan Drahos lived and worked in the UK where he earned a PhD in Drama with an emphasis in Shakespearean and Marlovian minor epic poetry and performance. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Director of Theatre in the department of English, Theatre, and Foreign Languages at University of North Carolina, Pembroke. Dirk Shafer
Dirk Alan Shafer (November 7, 1962 – March 5, 2015) was an American model, actor, screenwriter and director. Born in Carbondale, Illinois, he was most noted in the modeling world for having been ''Playgirl'' magazine's 1992 "Man of the Year". Shafer related that he did ''Playgirl'' for "validation" as a model because he never believed himself to be attractive. Shafer wrote, directed and starred in ''Man of the Year (1995 film), Man of the Year'', a 1995 mockumentary about his time as a semi-closeted gay man in the role of a heterosexual sex symbol. Shafer's next directorial project was ''Circuit (film), Circuit'', a fictional look at the world of gay male circuit party, circuit parties. As of 2008, Shafer was working as a fitness trainer and certified Pilates instructor. In 2012, Shafer returned to the pages of ''Playgirl'' for a 20th anniversary photo spread in the August issue. Circuit (film)
''Circuit'' is a 2001 gay-themed independent film set in the world of gay circuit party, circuit parties. Written by Dirk Shafer and Gregory Hinton and directed by Shafer, ''Circuit'' follows the lives of several people involved in the circuit party scene. Shot on digital video over a period of six months, Shafer was inspired by circuit party music in crafting the film. ''Circuit'' received mixed reviews, with reviewers finding the film too long and the performances of several of the lead actors weak. Plot The film opens with John (Jonathan Wade Drahos) regaining consciousness in a restroom stall at "The Red Party."
