Jonathan Ship
Jonathan Andrew Ship (born 23 April 1981) is an English cricketer. Ship is a left-handed batsman. He was born at West Bromwich, Staffordshire. Ship represented the Warwickshire Cricket Board in a single List A match against Cumberland in the 1st round of the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy which was held in 2001 at St George's Road, Millom. In his only List A match, he scored 5 runs. He currently plays club cricket for Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club. West Bromwich ( ) is a market town in the borough of Sandwell, West Midlands, England. Historically part of Staffordshire, it is north-west of Birmingham. St George's Road is a cricket ground located off St George's Road in Millom, Cumberland. The ground is bordered to the south–east by the Cumbrian Coast Line and to the north and west by housing. It is the home venue of Millom Cricket Club. History Constructed prior to 1925, the first recorded match on the ground saw Cumberland play a North Lancashire League team in 1925. Cumberland first played at the ground the 1961 Minor Counties Championship against the Lancashire Second XI. The 2002 Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 29 August 2001 and 31 August 2002. It was the second Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy, following its change of name from the NatWest Trophy. The tournament was won by Yorkshire who defeated Somerset by 6 wickets in the final at Lord's. Cumbria County Cricket Club (formerly Cumberland County Cricket Club) is one of twenty minor counties of English and Welsh cricket, minor county cricket, county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales.
