Jonathan Florencio
Jonathan Martinez Florencio (Jon 'Flo' Florencio, born in Queens, New York on July 21, 1976) is a multiple-award winning composer, audio engineer and record producer. He is of Filipino descent and was raised in Bellmore, New York and attended Mepham High School. He has composed music for various commercials including Hummer, Nike, Scion, Calvin Klein, Mercedes, Rolex, Yves Saint Lauren, Pepsi and MTV. He has also worked with acts such as Ours, Glassjaw, Jimmy Gnecco, The Movielife, Dearly Departed, The Washdown, Anterrabae, and Woods. His production technique is notable for its width, innovative textures, and deconstructive approach to production. In 2010 he worked on Jimmy Gnecco's debut solo-album ''The Heart (album)''. Bellmore is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, New York, United States. The population according to the 2010 census was 16,218. Bellmore is located on the south shore of Long Island 5 miles from Jones Beach State Park, approximately east of Manhattan, and east of the Nassau-Queens (New York City) Line. Bellmore, along with North Bellmore, are referred to collectively as "The Bellmores". The Movielife
The Movielife is a Long Island punk rock band composed of vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarist Brandon Reilly, and drummer Brett Romnes. The band originally formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2003, but announced their official reunion in December 2014. History Formation and first two albums (1997–2001) The Movielife formed in 1997 in Long Island, New York with vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarists Alex Amiruddin and Eddie Reyes, bassist Nick Ghanbarian and drummer Evan Baken. The Narrative
The Narrative (or Narrative) is an American independent indie rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 2008. They are currently based at Nashville, Tennessee. Since 2011, the band has consisted of Suzie Zeldin (vocals, keyboards) and Jesse Gabriel (vocals, guitar). Previously, the group has featured the drummer Charlie Seich. The group started its musical career with their debut EP '' Just Say Yes ''released in 2008, where "Eyes Closed" stands out as the most popular song with more than four million views on YouTube. James Francis Gnecco III (born September 30, 1973) is an American singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist who makes music both under his name and the moniker Ours. Gnecco is known for his multi-octave vocal range and singing style, often described as 'dramatic and emotional'. Career Gnecco began making music in 1988. He would play under the names Lost Child and Harmony Bandits before Ours formed officially in 1992. Gnecco's first album, ''Sour'' (1994), was a demo compilation with which he was dissatisfied. Ours is an American-based rock band led by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Gnecco. History Harmony Bandits and Sour Since their creation in 1990, the line-up has evolved many times, but Gnecco has always felt that having a rotating group of musicians who could play off each other was important. In high school, Gnecco was in the band Lost Child and later, The Harmony Bandits, which eventually evolved into what is now Ours. In 1994, Ours released their first album titled ''Sour'' under their own label Beatnik Records, owned by Mike Marri. Afterwards, the band dissolved and did not reform again for several years. Glassjaw
Glassjaw is an American post-hardcore band from Hempstead, New York. The band is fronted by vocalist Daryl Palumbo and guitarist Justin Beck, and was a major part of the Long Island music scene in the early 2000s. The band has been influential in the progression of the underground music scene in the eastern United States and United Kingdom for the post-hardcore genre, and are known for their intense live shows as well as their frequent line-up changes.
