Jonathan Cantwell
Jonathan Cantwell (8 January 1982 – 6 November 2018) was an Australian professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2014 for the Jittery Joe's, , and teams. During his career, Cantwell won a stage of the Herald Sun Tour, and two stages of the Tour de Taiwan. In 2011, he won the Australian National Criterium Championships. Career Cantwell joined for the 2012 season. Cantwell made his Grand Tour début at the 2012 Tour de France, where he was earmarked as a lead-out man for the team's sprinter, Juan José Haedo; Cantwell took his first top ten placing on stage 4, when he finished sixth on the stage. He finished 137th overall in the Tour. Cantwell left at the end of the 2013 season, and joined for the 2014 season. 2012 Critérium Du Dauphiné
The 2012 Critérium du Dauphiné was the sixty-fourth running of the Critérium du Dauphiné cycling stage race; a race rated as a World Tour event on the UCI calendar, the highest classification such an event can have. The race consisted of eight stages, beginning with a prologue in Grenoble on 3 June, and concluded in Châtel on 10 June. The race was organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation, the same group that organises the Tour de France. It was viewed as a great preparation for July's Tour de France, hence why a majority of the contenders for the general classification of the major tour participated in the Dauphiné. It featured mountainous stages as well as an individual time trial quite similar in length to those that awaited the riders in the Tour. Duathlon is an athletic event that consists of a running leg, followed by a cycling leg and then another running leg in a format similar to triathlons. The USA Cycling National Racing Calendar (NRC) is an annual competition of road bicycle racing events held in the United States and sponsored by USA Cycling. The NRC includes a men's and women's individual and team rankings based on points awarded at the events. The competition is open to amateur and professional riders regardless of national origin. The Goulburn to Sydney cycling race was a one-day road bicycle race. The first race was held in 1902 with the last in 2012. History The route from Goulburn to Sydney via the Hume Highway was popular with cyclists in the late 19th century and numerous record attempts were made for the journey finishing at the Sydney GPO. In 1896 the League of Wheelmen organised a race from Goulburn to Ashfield which was won by H Hayes. The fastest time was Arthur Graeme in 7 hours 59 minutes. Saint Francis Tulsa Tough Ride and Race is a three-day cycling festival in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It features non-competitive riding through scenic areas around the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and professional level races. It is held each year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the second weekend in June. Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer is cancer that develops in the testicles, a part of the male reproductive system. Symptoms may include a lump in the testicle, or swelling or pain in the scrotum. Treatment may result in infertility. Risk factors include an undescended testis, family history of the disease, and previous history of testicular cancer. More than 95% are germ cell tumors which are divided into seminomas and nonseminomas. Other types include sex-cord stromal tumors and lymphomas. Diagnosis is typically based on a physical exam, ultrasound, and blood tests. Surgical removal of the testicle with examination under a microscope is then done to determine the type. Testicular cancer is highly treatable and usually curable. Treatment options may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or stem cell transplantation.
