Jonathan Anders
Jonathan Victor Anders (born 25 January 1971) was an English cricketer who played all of his cricket for Shropshire. He was born in Tunbridge Wells and educated at Belvidere School, Shrewsbury. He played at club level for Shrewsbury and Perkins cricket clubs. His highest score of 51 came when playing for Shropshire in the match against Surrey Cricket Board. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a town in Kent, England, southeast of central London. The National Counties Cricket Association Knockout Cup was started in 1983 as a knockout one-day competition for the National Counties in English cricket. At first it was known as the ''English Industrial Estates Cup'', before being called the ''Minor Counties Knock Out Competition'' from 1986 to 1987, the ''Holt Cup'' from 1988 to 1992, the ''MCC Trophy'' from 1993 to 1998, the ''ECB 38-County Cup'' from 1999 to 2002, the ''MCCA Knockout Trophy'' from 2003 to 2005. The NCCA 3 Day Championship (previously the Minor Counties Cricket Championship) is a season-long competition in England and Wales that is contested by the members of the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), the so-called national counties that do not have first-class status. Shrewsbury Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Their 1st XI currently plays in the Birmingham and District Premier League Premier Division and their 2nd XI plays in the Shropshire Premier Division. Belvidere School is a coeducational secondary school located in the Belvidere area of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. Belvidere draws 11- to 16-year-olds mainly from the surrounding areas of Monkmoor, Belvidere, Underdale, Abbey Forgate and Cherry Orchard.
