Jonas Virakas
Jonas Virakas (5 September 1905 – 30 April 1988) was born in the town of Seredžius in the Kaunas district. He studied at the Kaunas Art School, work as a sketch-maker for the architect Vladimiras Dubeneckis until 1934, and continued architecture studies at the Kaunas Art Institute in 1940. Starting in 1942, Virakas started teaching design and architectural drawing as well as interior design and decoration at the Kaunas Art Institute. In 1944, he became the dean of the Decorative Architecture Department. Starting in 1949, the architect worked at the Kaunas Fine Art Workshop for more than thirty years. Virakas created a number interiors for drugstores, civil registry offices, halls, and bookstores. His most prominent work is the interior design of the Tulpė Cafe in Kaunas and the central bookstore in Kaunas. BZN (''Band Zonder Naam''; Dutch language, Dutch for "Band Without Name") was a Dutch pop group that had a string of hits from 1966 to 2007 on. BZN recorded mostly in English and French, but also had success with material in Dutch and German. History BZN started out as a pop-rock band in their native Volendam in 1966, playing early-Bee Gees-like harmony pop. Seredžius
Seredžius is a town in Lithuania on the right bank of the Nemunas River near its confluence with the Dubysa River. According to the 2011 census, it had a population of 590. Names The Yiddish name for the city was סרעדניק (''Srednik''), corresponding to the Polish language, Polish ''Średniki'', German language, German ''Schrödnick'', and Russian language, Russian Средники (''Sredniki''). In local Samogitian dialect the town is known as ''Seredius'', in Lithuanian language, Lithuanian - ''Seredžius''. Other recorded forms of the town's name include ''Srednike'', ''Seredzhyus'', ''Seredzhus'' and ''Seredius''. Kaunas District Municipality (''Kauno rajono savivaldybė'') is one of 60 municipalities in Lithuania. The seat of the municipality is the city of Kaunas, which does not belong to the municipality but is a separate administrative unit. Vladimiras Dubeneckis
Vladimiras Dubeneckis (6 September 1888 – 10 August 1932) was a Lithuanian architect and painter. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts under Leon Benois, and became a professor of the academy in 1917. He was also a professor at the Kaunas Art School. Kaunas Art Institute
Kaunas (; ; also see other names) is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius and an important centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life. Kaunas was the largest city and the centre of a county in the Duchy of Trakai of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Trakai Palatinate since 1413. In the Russian Empire, it was the capital of the Kaunas Governorate from 1843 to 1915.
