Jonas Haskins
Jonas Haskins is the former bass player for the drone metal band Earth. Prior to playing in Earth, he was a part of numerous obscure Seattle-based bands, such as The Jesus Chords. He also has collaborated with Sera Cahoone. Also, Haskins is a former employee of AdReady, Inc. based in Seattle, Washington where he worked as Senior Network Administrator. Biographical Information Jonas grew up in the San Juan islands of the Puget Sound. As a boy he enjoyed visiting the various creameries and sweets shops in Friday Harbor, but his real passion was for the baritone guitar The baritone guitar is a guitar with a longer scale length, typically a larger body, and heavier internal bracing, so it can be tuned to a lower pitch. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Drone Metal
Drone metal or drone doom is a style of heavy metal that melds the slow tempos and heaviness of doom metal with the long-duration tones of drone music. Drone metal is sometimes associated with post-metal or experimental metal. Characteristics Typically, the electric guitar is performed with a large amount of reverb or audio feedback while vocals may or may not be present. Songs often lack beat or rhythm in the traditional sense and are typically very long. Earth (American Band)
Earth is an American experimental rock band based in Olympia, Washington, formed in 1989 and led by the guitarist Dylan Carlson (musician), Dylan Carlson. Sera Cahoone
Sera Cahoone (born August 4, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington. Cahoone's music combines elements of classic country-western and modern indie rock and lo-fi music. She works as a drummer, especially with the bands Carissa's Wierd and Band of Horses. Early life Cahoone is the daughter of Bill Cahoone, a Rocky Mountain dynamite salesman, and Judy Cahoone (née Ahrendts), a business executive. Cahoone said that she was raised by a single mother. She has a sister named Kal Cahoone and brother named Nathan Cahoone, both of whom are also musicians. Cahoone grew up in Littleton, Colorado, Littleton, Colorado.
