Jona is a Bangladeshi film actress who acted in more than 40 films. Biography Jona made her debut in Dhallywood with ''Hridoyer Bashi'' where her co-star was Shakil Khan. Jona's first marriage with Shakil Khan did not last long. Then she married Zubayer Hossain on 14 February 2009. Jona is now living in the United States. The Bangladeshi Cinema, better known as Dhallywood ( bn, ঢালিউড), is the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has often been a significant film industry since the early 1970s. The dominant style of Bangladeshi cinema is melodramatic cinema, which developed from 1947 to 1990 and characterizes most films to this day. Cinema was introduced in Bangladesh in 1898 by the Bradford Bioscope Company, credited to have arranged the first film release in Bangladesh. Between 1913 and 1914, the first production company, Picture House, was opened. A 1928 short silent film titled ''Sukumari'' () was the first Bengali-produced film in the region. Shakil Khan
Shakil Khan, known professionally as Shakil Khan, is a Bangladeshi actor who was active from 1997 to 2010. Politics When Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-3, resigned from parliament in April 2018 to run for mayor of Khulna, Khan considered contesting the resulting by-election as an independent candidate. He decided against a run, however, and Habibun Nahar, Khaleque's wife, was elected unopposed. Khan sought the Awami League nomination for the seat in the December 2018 general election, but the party gave the nod to the incumbent. Film career Khan went on to perform in films ''Paharadar'', ''Biyer Phul'', ''Narir Mon'', '' Koshto'', and ''Abujh Bou'', among others.
