Jon Siren
Jon Siren (born May 4, 1978) is an American musician and the co-founder and drummer of the band Mankind Is Obsolete. He has been a drummer or keyboardist in many other industrial bands, including Psyclon Nine, Dismantled, and System Syn. Since 2015, he has been mostly associated as the touring drummer for IAMX. Early life Siren grew up in Columbus, Ohio and developed an early love of music in the time of MTV. His first performance instruments were guitar and bass before taking on the drums in his late teens. Early musical projects When in Columbus, Siren played in local grindcore and punk bands such as Medium and Inept in his teens in the mid-to-late '90s. While living in New York City in his early 20s, he met Kevorkian Death Cycle, who were interested in taking him on as their new drummer. Front Line Assembly (FLA) is a Canadian electro-industrial band formed by Bill Leeb in 1986 after leaving Skinny Puppy. FLA has developed its own sound incorporating elements of electronic body music and electro-industrial. The band's membership has rotated through the years, including Michael Balch, Rhys Fulber, and Chris Peterson, all of whom are associated with several other acts. September Mourning is a heavy metal music, metal band, which incorporates a transmedia dark culture project created by Emily Lazar and Marc Silvestri. The conceptual project was formed by frontwoman, vocalist, and Screaming (music), screamer Emily Lazar in New York in 2009. The Concept album, concept narrative created by Lazar and incorporated in the band and their performances, centers around the fictional story of a human-grim reaper hybrid named September, as she navigates the worlds of the living and the dead. Aerodrone is an American electro-rock band from Eugene, Oregon, that was founded in 2005 by Gary Zon.
