Johnny Hamilton (22 January 1935 – 8 August 2013) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Hearts, Watford and Berwick Rangers Berwick Rangers Football Club is a football team based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, England, just south of the border with Scotland. Founded in 1881, they currently play in the , the fifth tier of Scottish football, despite hailing fr .... He scored 157 goals in 496 appearances for Hearts between 1955 and 1967. Hamilton played for the Scottish League XI once, in 1958. After retiring as a football player, Hamilton coached the Hearts youth team between 1974 and 1979. He then ran a newsagents in Slateford Road, Edinburgh. Hamilton died in August 2013, aged 78. Johnny married Elizabeth Farquhar and had three children, Karen, Ross and Gary. Larkhall
Larkhall ( sco, Larkhauch, gd, Taigh na h-Uiseig) is a town in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, around southeast of Glasgow. It is twinned with Seclin in northern France. Larkhall sits on high ground between the River Clyde to the East and the Avon Water to the West. Larkhall sits on the edge of the scenic Clyde valley and is a commuter town for Glasgow. Larkhall had a population of 14,951 in the 2011 UK Census, and is a typical Scottish former industrial town. Traditionally a mining, weaving and textile area, most of Larkhall's traditional industries have now closed down, including the Lanarkshire ironworks. The Scottish Football League XI was a representative side of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Soon after the creation of the SFL in 1890, there was a desire on the part of its officials to test its strength against its older counterpart (English) Football League. A match between the Scottish League and The Football League XI was first played in April 1892 at Pike's Lane, Bolton and ended in a 2–2 draw. The Scottish League also played representative matches against the Irish League XI, League of Ireland XI, a Welsh League XI, a Danish Combination and the Italian league. They had also played four fundraising matches during World War I and six unofficial trial matches against Scotland between 1958 and 1964 - players involved in those matches are recorded separately.
