John Thomas Grange
John Thomas Grange (January 30, 1837 – April 20, 1924) was an Ontario merchant and political figure. He represented Lennox (provincial electoral district), Lennox in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Ontario Progressive Conservative Party, Conservative member from 1871 to 1879. The son of William Grange, he was born in Napanee, Ontario in 1837. Grange served on the town council and was reeve of Napanee. In 1857, he married Jane Ann Scales. Grange ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons in 1867. He died in 1924. A Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) is an elected member of the Legislative Assembly of the Canadian province of Ontario. Elsewhere in Canada, the titular designation "Member of Provincial Parliament" has also been used to refer to members of the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada from 1791 to 1838, and to members of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1955 to 1968. John Stevenson (Ontario Politician)
John Stevenson (August 12, 1812 – April 1, 1884) was the first Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1867 to 1871 and served as Conservative MPP for Lennox from 1867 to 1871. Born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Stevenson's family moved to New York State (likely to the Albany, New York area and finally to Upper Canada. He was educated in Brockville and taught school briefly. George Douglas Hawley
George Douglas Hawley (April 3, 1841 – September 22, 1934) was an Ontario politician. He represented Lennox in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1879 to 1883 and in 1886 as a Liberal member. Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River (south end of the Rideau Canal).
