	John Somerville (Australian Footballer) John Somerville (8 December 1939 – 12 November 1984) was an Australian rules footballer who played 106 senior games for the Essendon Football Club from 1960 to 1967. Career Recruited from Moe Football Club, he played his first match for the Essendon senior team in Round 5 of the 1960 season, against Carlton, at Essendon's home ground, Windy Hill. He played on the half-forward flank, kicking 96 goals in his 106 game career. He played in the 1962 Essendon premiership team that beat Carlton 13.12 (90) to 8.10 (58). 1965 Preliminary Final Within the first 10 minutes of the 1965 Preliminary Final between Essendon and Collingwood Somerville was knocked unconscious by his opponent, the Collingwood half-back flanker Duncan Wright. 	Alistair Lord Alistair Lord (born 9 April 1940) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong during the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. Lord played as a centreman and debuted in 1959. He won the Brownlow Medal in 1962 comfortably, as well as the Carji Greeves Medal, averaging 30 disposals a game for the year. 	Peter Somerville Peter Somerville (born 8 July 1968) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 160 games for Essendon in the AFL. A ruckman, and son of John Somerville, he shared rucking duties with Paul Salmon for much of his career. He was a premiership player with Essendon and represented Victoria in 1991 and was well known for his amazing high leaping marks. After a successful career spanning over a decade, Somerville owned and operated his own plumbing business until 2002. He then ventured to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to teach plumbing at TAFE. He is widely regarded as the greatest player ever to play for Collingwood. Playing career A Collingwood legend, he has had achievements of the many including the greatest honours for a club, and in the VFL/AFL. From country club Nyah West, Rose debuted in 1946. He was a genuine all-round sportsman, who was looking down the path of a professional boxing career, but decided to play the game of football. 	Fred Wooller Fred Wooller (born 21 October 1938) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the VFL. Football Recruited from Bacchus Marsh, Wooller started his career as a full forward and topped Geelong's goalkicking with 56 goals in 1957, his tally being the equal second highest in the league for that season. He was rewarded with selection in the interstate carnival where he represented Victoria. He was the Geelong's leading goalkicker again in 1959 as well as in 1960, where he played at centre half forward and won the Carji Greeves Medal for the club's best and fairest. On 6 July 1963 he was a member of the Geelong team that were comprehensively and unexpectedly beaten by Fitzroy, 9.13 (67) to 3.13 (31) in the 1963 Miracle Match.
