John Sewell (footballer)
John David Sewell (7 July 1936 – 19 November 2021) was an English professional footballer who had a long career in the Football League, before continuing as player and coach in the North American Soccer League (NASL) during the 1970s. Nicknamed "The Duke" for his good dress sense, Sewell also had the distinction of never having been booked during his English playing career and only once throughout his entire playing career. A well-rounded young athlete, Sewell played fly-half at rugby so well that he was twice selected to play for England Schools’ Under 15 team. On leaving school, he first became a sprinter with Blackheath Harriers, and then signed as a “professional footballer” for Bexleyheath & Welling in 1954. A key man at centre-half in the Kent League team at Bexleyheath, Sewell was transferred to Charlton Athletic on January 5, 1955. Brockley is a district and an wards of the United Kingdom, electoral ward of south London, England, in the London Borough of Lewisham south-east of Charing Cross. History The name Brockley is derived from "Broca's woodland clearing", a wood where badgers are seen (''broc'' is the Old English for badger) or Brook (Stream) by a wood (Ley). Formerly part of the county of Kent, Brockley became a part of the Metropolitan Borough of Lewisham in the County of London in 1889, and subsequently was brought into the London Borough of Lewisham with the creation of Greater London in 1965. Sequim, Washington
Sequim ( ) is a city in Clallam County, Washington, United States. It is located along the Dungeness River near the base of the Olympic Mountains. The 2010 United States Census, 2010 census counted a population of 6,606. Sequim lies within the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains and receives, on average, less than of rain per year – about the same as Los Angeles, California – giving rise to the region's local nickname of ''Sunny Sequim''. However, the city is relatively close to some of the wettest temperate rainforests of the contiguous United States. This climate anomaly is sometimes called the "Blue Hole of Sequim". Fogs and cool breezes from the Juan de Fuca Strait make Sequim's climate more humid than would be expected from the low average rate of annual precipitation.
