John McMillan (Prince Edward Island Politician)
John McMillan (May 14, 1851 – 1927) was a farmer and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 2nd Queens from 1905 to 1911 and from 1916 to 1919 as a Liberal. He was born in Fairview, Lot 65, Prince Edward Island, the son of Captain Ewan McMillan and Isabella Matheson, and was educated at Prince of Wales College. McMillan operated a large farm in Lot 65. Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island Liberal Party
The Prince Edward Island Liberal Party (officially the ''Prince Edward Island Liberal Association'') is a political party in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The PEI Liberals are affiliated with the federal Liberal Party of Canada. History The party was created when PEI was a British colony by reformers who agitated for the system of responsible government. This was granted by the British crown to the colony in 1851. George Coles was its dominant figure in its first decades. While initially supportive of Canadian Confederation, Coles and the Liberals soured on the project, and it was not until 1873 that the island joined Canada as a means of relieving the PEI government's severe debts. The early party supported the abolition of school fees, and a resolution to the " Land Question" that divided the province. Lot 65 is a township in Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is part of Hillsboro Parish. Lot 65 was awarded to Richard Wright and Hugh Owens in the 1767 land lottery. Prince Of Wales College
Prince of Wales College (PWC) is a former university college, which was located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. PWC merged with St. Dunstan's University in 1969 to form the University of Prince Edward Island. PWC traces its history to 1804 when land was set aside by Lieutenant-Governor Edmund Fanning for a college - the colony's first. In 1821 a district school called the National School opened on the site located on Kent Street in the east end of Charlottetown. In 1835 Central Academy opened on a site along Grafton Street, immediately south of the National School. The National School closed in the early 1850s and the provincial Normal School for training teachers opened on the site in 1856. In 1860 the Central Academy was upgraded and renamed Prince of Wales College (PWC) in honour of a visit to the colony that year by the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII.
