John J. Goossens
John J., Baron Goossens (25 November 1944 – 8 November 2002) was a Belgian businessman. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Belgacom and chairman of the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium. He acceded to the Belgian hereditary nobility with the personal title of baron in May 2002. Education After his secondary education at the Collège Saint Michel in Brussels, he obtained a licentiate, in trade - and financial sciences from the Louvain School of Management at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in 1968. In 1971, he obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Columbia University in New York. He was a member of "Up with People". Didier Bellens (9 June 1955 – 28 February 2016) was a Belgian businessman. Until 15 November 2013, he was the CEO of Belgacom, the leading telecommunications company of Belgium. He was married and had three children. He died on 28 February 2016. Education Bellens graduated in 1978 as a commercial engineer at the Solvay Business School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels). Career Bellens started his career in 1978 as an auditor at Deloitte Haskins & Sells. During his time at Deloitte he was engaged on the audits of the Belgian subsidiary of General Motors. In 1981 he became financial director of the Compagnie Brussel Lambert holding (GBL). He managed the investment portfolio and prospected potential investments. Bessel Kok (born 13 December 1941 in Hilversum, Netherlands) is a Dutch businessman and chess organiser living in Prague. He has served in top management positions in telecommunications companies in Belgium (Belgacom) and in the Czech Republic. He was also President of the Belgian-based Banking communications company SWIFT and responsible for SWIFT's sponsorship of several major International chess events. Kok was the Chairman of World Chess Grandmaster Association from 1985 until 1991, and helped to establish the 2002 Prague Agreement concerning the World Chess Championship.
