John Hegarty (Gaelic Footballer)
John Hagerty is a Gaelic football manager and former player who currently manages the Wexford county football team. He previously played for Wexford and Killanerin, as well as Leinster and UCD. He was a full-forward during his playing career. He made 105 appearances for Wexford and his inter-county career went from 1995 up until 2006, scoring 21–125 in all that time. Wexford went from Division 4 to Division 1 National Football League during his career and they got to the Division 1 final back in 2005. He played for Leinster and won a Railway Cup. He played for UCD and won a Sigerson Cup. He won six Wexford Senior Football Championship titles when he was playing and one Intermediate Football Championship title. After his retirement, he went on to become a manager. He won Senior Football Championships with Kilanerin as a player-manager and Shelmaliers. John Hegarty (politician)
John Joseph Hegarty (born 16 September 1947) is a former Australian politician. He was the National Party member for Redlands in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1995 to 2001. Hegarty served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 and was part of the army reserve from 1969 to 1994. He was a commissioned officer from 1971. He also worked as an insurance consultant. Following his election in 1995, he was a National Party backbencher in the Borbidge Government. Career He joined Cramer Saatchi in 1967, and was a founding shareholder when it became Saatchi & Saatchi. In 1973. he co-founded TBWA, and then in 1982 started Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He has published two books: ''Hegarty on Advertising: Turning Intelligence Into Magic'' and ''Hegarty on Creativity''. Jack Hegarty
John Edward Hegarty (June 9, 1888 – March 1, 1974) was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. He served as the head football coach at North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, now North Carolina State University, from 1914 to 1915, compiling a record of 5–6–2. Hegarty also coached basketball for a season at North Carolina A&M in 1913–14, tallying a mark of 6–7. He was also the head coach of the Washington Senators (NFL), Washington Senators, who played three games in the National Football League in 1921. Before becoming a coach, Hegarty played college football at Georgetown University from 1910 until 1912. Hegarty died in 1974 and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. John Hawkins Hagarty
Sir John Hawkins Hagarty (17 September 1816 – 27 April 1900) was a Canadian lawyer, teacher, and judge. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Hagarty was educated at Trinity College Dublin for a year before emigrating to Upper Canada in 1834. He was a student-at-law in the law office of George Duggan in Toronto. He was called to the Bar in 1840 and was a partner with John Willoughby Crawford. As well from 1852 to 1855, he taught at Trinity College, Toronto. In 1856, he was appointed a judge. He was a judge for 41 years including: Puisne Judge of the Court of Common Pleas (1856–62), judge of the Court of Queen's Bench (1862–68), Chief Justice of Common Pleas (1868–78), Chief Justice of Queen's Bench (1878–84), and President of the Court of Appeal and Chief Justice of Ontario (1884–97).
