John Hedlund
John Hedlund is an American soccer coach who oversees the North Texas Mean Green women's soccer program. He is a retired defender who played in the Major Indoor Soccer League, USISL, and Continental Indoor Soccer League. In 1995, Hedlund concluded a 12-year professional playing career, in which he played defender for the United States Men's Olympic team (1983–84), the New York Express (1984–85), the Dallas Sidekicks (1986–87 and 1992–95) and the Dallas Rockets (1988–91). Player Amateur Hedlund graduated from Plano Senior High School. He attended Midwestern State University, playing on the men's soccer team from 1980 to 1984. A four-year letter winner at Midwestern State University, Hedlund was twice voted to the NAIA All-America team in college (1983 & 1984). He scored 26 goals and added 12 assists, playing several different positions on the pitch. Bay Shore is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Islip, New York, United States. It is situated on the South Shore of Long Island, adjoining the Great South Bay. The population of the CDP was 29,244 at the time of the 2020 census. History Bay Shore is one of the older hamlets on Long Island. Sagtikos Manor, located in West Bay Shore, was built around 1697. It was used as a British armed forces headquarters, at the time of the Battle of Long Island during the Revolutionary War. President Washington stayed at the manor during his tour of Long Island in 1790. The 1992 CONCACAF Champions' Cup, also known as the American Airlines Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 28th edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region (North America, Central America and the Caribbean), the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. It determined that year's club champion of football in the CONCACAF region and was played from 1 February 1992 till 5 January 1993. The teams were split in 2 zones (North/Central and Caribbean), each one qualifying two teams to the final tournament. All qualifying matches were played under the home/away match system, while the final was played in California, USA.
