John Haze
John Hayes Mabley, better known by his stage name Doktor Haze or Dr. Haze, is a British circus owner and performer, singer-songwriter, company director, and author. He is the owner, ringmaster and director of The Circus of Horrors, in which he co-founded with Gerry Cottle in 1995, which has become Britain’s longest running alternative circus. Haze was raised in Preston, Lancashire and his parents were circus performers as well. In 2011, he released his autobiography book ''Dr Haze: Mud, Blood and Glitter'' (Peculiar Publications, ISBN 9780957069909). Haze is the company director for Moscow State Circus, Carters Steam Fair and Psycho Management, and is also the co-owner of Circus Extreme and Continental Circus Berlin. Circus

Ringmaster (circus)
A ringmaster or ringmistress, or sometimes a ringleader, is a significant performer in many circuses. Most often seen in traditional circuses, the ringmaster is a master of ceremonies that introduces the circus acts to the audience. In smaller circuses, the ringmaster is often the owner and artistic director of the circus. Duties and functions A ringmaster introduces the various acts in a circus show and guides the audience through the experience, directing their attention to the various areas of the circus arena and helping to link the acts together while equipment is brought into and removed from the circus ring. The Circus Of Horrors
The Circus of Horrors is a British-based contemporary circus created by John (Dr) Haze and Gerry Cottle. They were first seen performing at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995. Blending horror, black comedy and rock music with circus acts, it uses goth and steampunk imagery, and references Victorian freak shows and burlesque. They were semi-finalists on ''Britain's Got Talent'' in 2011. Gerry Cottle
Gerald Ward Cottle (7 April 1945 – 13 January 2021) was a British circus owner and the owner of the Wookey Hole Caves in Somerset. He presented the Moscow State Circus and Chinese State Circus in Britain, founded Gerry Cottle's Circus, and co-founded The Circus of Horrors. Early life Gerry Cottle was born in Carshalton, Surrey. His father was a stockbroker and grand-master in the Freemasons. Gerry Cottle was educated at Rutlish School, Merton Park, south London and left home in 1961 at the age of 16 to join the Robert Brothers Circus. Circus career Cottle started by doing menial tasks, but worked his way up to have his own juggling act, billed as ''Gerry Melville the Teenage Juggler'', and then to own his own show, which opened in July 1970, with just five performers. Carters Steam Fair
Carters Steam Fair (no apostrophe is used in the name) was a travelling vintage fair. Founded in 1977 by John Carter (1942–2000), this family business is now managed by the second generation of Carters. Carters operated and maintained a large collection of vintage rides and sidestalls, ranging in date from the 1870s to the 1960s, and every season they travelled with vintage heavy lorries and traditional showmen's living wagons. The fair provided an opportunity to enjoy historic equipment and artwork. Their operating base and restoration workshops were immediately adjacent to White Waltham Airfield, near Maidenhead, in Berkshire. The Continental Circus Berlin is a touring circus featured in the UK and presented by the European Entertainment Corporation during the summertime. The Continental Circus Berlin also goes under the shortened name of Circus Berlin.
